New Years Eve with snow

New Year's EveSilent night with snowTime really flies. Today is the last day in 2008. How was your 2008? My life changed drastically. But I never regret. I thought long and hard about my future. I really tried hearing my true mind that who is the most precious for me and what is a desire for my future. I don’t wanna regret when I get old and look back my life.

My mother often told me the life has a limit and you have to decide yourself. It’s your precious life. You shouldn’t excuse yourself your life. I really agree with her opinion. I always respect my mother, she was not only my mother also she was my teacher of life.

In the afternoon Stefan and I started to make wedding invitation cards. I designed a picuture of the card and he edit it with PC. He is really good at PC and I’m really bad at PC. What I can do is writing E-mail, Youtube, search something through google.. that’s all!! So when I talk to him about PC, I have no idea what he is telling, so I always think about food during his talk.

No.. I’m good girl (normally) so I listen to him carefully and try to understand!! Anyway the wedding invitation is soo cool I think I have to apply for a patent!?

In the evening Stefan’s mother called me to check outside. Wow!!! It’s snowing and already everywhere is coverd with snow. I quickly put on my coat and shoes, went out to the garden. For me snowing is fantastic because my hometown Fukuroi city in Shizuoka is a warm place. So snowing is very very rarely. Even it starts to snowing just few minutes it stops.

I made a little snowman instantly. I really wanna make a huge snowman!!

Opened an account with UBS and went to Zurich for shopping

Big Xmas tree with Swarovski in Zurich stationChristmas holiday was over so from today lots of shops and public institutions are open again. First Stefan and I went to insurance company to take out an insurance for me, but here in Switzerland it seems to be choosing an insurance which is suit for the person is complicated. So we need to read a pamphlet very throughly. After that we went to the UBS to open an account and ask for another credit card of the present Stefan’s account. It takes a few days to get my credit card. In the UBS there are so many people so we had to wait but I was happy because there were free coffee machine. I think I can enjoy anywhere if there is food or drink. Because I’m always hungry ;)

After we went for shopping, Stefan bought me a special necklace as a last single present.

Thank you sooo much.

Booking a restaurant for our wedding party

The entrance of our wedding restaurantToday Stefan, his parents and me went for a walk near the lake. After that we visited a restaurant where we wanted to have our wedding party. The restaurant is on the hill so you can enjoy beautiful scenery. The building is soo cute and interior design is beautiful. And the restaurant has a nice garden. So if it’s good weather, we can have welcome drink there.

We have really taken to the restaurant, so we booked immediately. I’m soo happy :)

Happy Christmas dinner :)

Xmas table decorationNina,Angi,Stefan and YukoAfter Xmas dinnerHappy Christmas is coming!! Before dinner Stefan and I went for a walk. Outside was so cold, I was nearly frozen.

After we got home we celebrate Christmas with Stefan’s parents, his sister (actually she is one of my old best friend) and also her boyfriend. We had special dinner which is named “Fondue Bourguignon”. It was the first time for me to have it. Super delicious!!

After that we started to open christmas presents which were under the christmas tree.

Now I think it’s time to write my today’s suprise. We got some presents from Stefan’s parents and one of them was an envelope. Of course I thought it was Christmas card. It was correct but inside there is also money like Japanese ”otoshidama”. I asked Stefan about this and he said “It’s common that parents give money to their kids in Switzerland”.

I really enjoyed christmas dinner and chatting with my new precious family (^ ^) Thank you very much.

”Otoshidama” is one of Japanese culture. During New Year parents and relatives give some money to their kids or their nephews and nieces. The money normally is put in a special ”otoshidama” envelope.

So many Japanese kids love time between Xmas and New Year. I wanna return to kid again!?

Mr.Santa's car??

Decorate a Christmas tree!

BeforeAfterToday is Christmas Eve. Stefan and I decorated a christmas tree which is about 2m. Nearly everyday I’ve been suprised at different things and culture from Japan since I’m here. Here people buy a real tree and hang real candles on it. When I was in Japan I always decorated a fake tree. Even I was in England, many christmas trees were not real. Only I could see real and big christmas tree when I went to theme parks or department stores.

We decorated our christmas tree with only blue and white ornaments and blue candles. It’s soo beautiful!!
