Today I went for a walk with Stefan. We decided to go to a lake which is in the west part of Paris. Even it was very cold and windy there are many people who were taking a walk like we did.

The lake was bigger than I expected. First I just thought taking a walk around this size of lake was easy and absolutely it’s fun. But it took a long time to get the edge of the lake. During walking in windy and cold weather, I started asking myself: “Is this kind of punishment? Coz I ‘m gettin fatty?” About 2 hours later we finally got a Metro station!!! And there was a crepe shop close to the Metro station. Umm… I had a crepe…

Ooops, I did it again. I think very soon I’ll get another kind of punishment. And after punishment I’ll find a crepeshop… It’s sounds like endless. Anyway I love crepes. I don’t care (^o^)/

Before I would write about some unique names of Metro station in Paris. So today I’m gonna write it. There are 14 lines in Paris Metro except RER lines. I always wondered what every station’s name mean. Because in Japan almost all station, their name is comes from city’s name. But in Europe some station have own unique names.

Ok… now I’ll start.

In Europe nomally from October to March the climate is not good.The sky is gray and short day.Especially the sun rise late. It’s about 8am.In Japan there is also the time difference between summer and winter.But not soo much.This is the one of the reasons here is summer time (From April to end of October,there is 7h time difference between Japan and west Europe.From November to end of March is 8h.so it means in winter you need to set clocks 1h late)

So people call this “Depressing Winter Time” This explanation is sounds perfect for me.Yes,it’s really depressing. I think many people feel good when they get up and look at the blue sky.

Today I saw blue sky in the afternoon.I had been waiting this.I was soo happy to see it.But on the other hand today is not so good.Coz many employee in France went on big strike. Accoding to the news all transportation and some public offices ,they were not supposed to work.But actually some transportation were working. Stefan didn’t have any problems to go to work and also come back.

Sometimes we have too much exaggerated news　and react to it too much.Of course it’s impossibl if you are involved in the news which is bad and hard.But if not, it’s not sensible of people to believe in everything .I realized it again through this strike news.

What do you think about this parking? In Paris everywhere you can find such a crazy parking. I always wondered how the driver get out the car from this parking space…

The other day,when I was walking,Finally I saw a driver who was trying get out from a very narrow and small parking place. I was really surprised.Can you imagine how he did?

Of course he needed to cut the steering wheel to the right and the left many times.What a crazy and funny thing is he bumped his car into a behind car and also a front car.Of course it’s very slow speed.Both of the cars didn’t get any bend. It seems to be nomall in here when they get out of such a small and a narrow space.

One thinng I can say it’s not good idea buying completely new car and park in Paris…　when you buy a new car in Paris,never park just keep driving!!

Taking public transportation is the best!!!

Tonight Stefan gave me a surprise dinner. Because 24th is our important memorial day. He didn’t tell me anything about this dinner. Just he said: “I booked it more than 3 month ago and the restaurant is near Tower of Eiffel”. When we got Tower of Eiffel, he said: “The restaurant is around the corner”. I thought that there wasn’t any corner coz we were completely under the Tower… Then he showed me the way how to get the restaurant. Wow!! The restaurant is in the Eiffel!! It’s on the 2nd floor but actually it’s 123m above the ground. (Why 123m. Isn’t it bit nicer if it’s 125m?) The name of the restaurant is “Le Jules Verne” where you can enjoy beautiful view in Paris over the meal.

The service of the restaurant is excellent. When I looked at the menu, there wasn’t any price… I know it’s absolutely expensive when there isn’t any price. Umm.. scary. But funny thing is menu for men there are prices of each menu. I think this is one of service for women. There were less than 20 tables which were completely booked. We toasted to our memorial day with champagne. Each dish is marvelous and also the design of the tableware was refinement. We had a lively conversation, enjoyed fantastic night view in Paris and forgot time. It was already 11pm.

Nervous time came… Bill time. Of course it was sooo expensive. I think this is the first time and also last super gorgeous dinner. And from tomorrow we both go on a fast and Stefan will need to find a second job?! No just joking. But it was really worth having dinner there and a nice experience.

From tomorrow I’ll study German hard again coz I got this reward. Tonight was unforgettable night. I’m grateful to Stefan for this surprise dinner.
