1,2,3,4,5………..

20,21,22…….

!!!???

In the box there were 52 Luxemburgerlis!!

I asked Stefan why 52? He said normally Swis people buy Luxemburgerli by a gram. And he bught 400g. That’s why not 50 or something good number to stop. I didn’t know buying Luxemburgerlie by a gram. I thought people order the number of them.

many-luxemburgerli.jpg I’m really satisfied with Luxemburgerli. I feel like I ate Luxemburgerli for saving. So I think I don’t need and want to eat them in this year…

But I really happy with these sweet presents from Stefan. Thank you very very much. Arigatou.

Information

Macaron in France and Luxemburgerlis in Switzerland ,they are looks very similar.

Both recipe came from Luxembourg and a patissier who is Luxembourger made the recipe and brought it to Switzerland and France. And first he named it ”Kiss of Mousse” But lots of people were ashamed to order to buy them at the shop. But at that time “Kiss ” was not so common and daily ward. When people orderd the sweets ,they say ” I wanna have this which is made by Luxemburg guy” After that the people tired to say sach a long sentence when they wanna buy. So the people started to say ” I wanna buy Luxemburgerli” Then many Patissier in each country arranged the original recipe little bit.

Macaron and Luxemburgerli as seen by me. The shapes are different. French Macaron is more bigger and flat and also you can find and buy big size Macaron which is like a pancake. Swis Luxemburgerli has more high and smaller. As follow their name “Li” in Swis German means “small”

By the way Macaron and Luxemburgerli’s native place in “Luxembourg” This sweets is not popular and bit difficult to find them. Isn’t it strange?
