Munich part 2

731munich.jpg731-munich.jpgThe weather was also not good today… We went to the german museum. In my travel book it’s written that you can experience a lots of things through the machinenery. But unfortunately nearly half of them are out of order and funny thing is about 3 years ago when Stefan was here, also lot of things were broken. What do you think? Were we too unlucky or still not repaired yet?

Next we took a long walk and later went to the restaurant to have big dinner! After dinner we went to an ice cream shop! Ice cream is also big size. 10 min later I had a stomachache and worn winter sweatshirt. It’s middle of summer but I worn the sweatshirt! I’m really strange woman!

Munich

730-brezel.jpg730sausage.jpg730beer.jpgWe moved to Munich. It’s just about 130 km from Salzburg.

First we checked in a hotel and had a break. Later we went to the city of Munich. The weather was not so nice and bit cold. As always we were hungry, we decided to go to a restaurant and there I had… very typical German food. First we toasted with beer. I ordered sausages and also ate brezel. I like brezels. They are bit salty but I like its chewy. Mogu mogu yummy!! (mogu mogu is sound of eating in Japanese)

Again I was surprised!! Austrian food was big for me but German food is much bigger!! I ordered the smallest size beer but completely bigger than I expected and the plate also. I think this is for two people… but this is for 1 person. I respect the stomach of German!?

Last Dinner in Salzburg

729mozarts.jpg729dinner.jpg729dinner-2.jpgI also had big fun in Salzburg and now “Austria” is one of my favorite city and want to visit again!

Last dinner we went to the restaurant across the street and there is the house where Mozart was born. This old area in Salzburg is registerd as a world heritage. Front of the house there was a long queue to enter the house. We didn’t go inside just we looked over the dinner.

Last dinner I had prawns and rice. It was soooo yummy and I could enjoy my sweet white wine more!!

On the way to the hotel we stopped at the supermarket and bought chocolate (^^)/

Salzburg part2

728-fountain.jpg728-papercut.jpg728coffee.jpgToday was soo hot! The sun blazed down the ground. So easily I wanted to have a break. When I was at the cafe, I wanted to drink something cold. But I thought I ‘m in Austria and I like coffee so I should drink”Melange”. Then I ordered it. In Austria when you order a cup of coffee, you also get a cookie and a little glass of water.

Served with a cookie is common but also water is only in Austria. In Europa paying for water in the restaurant is normal. But in Japan nearly every restaurant you can get water free. So here is little bit similar to Japan. BUT!! only with coffee you get water. It’s interesting.

After yummy coffee we visited “Festung Hohensalzburg” and here I lernt why this city is named “Salzburg”.

This city used to be very rich for salt and that time salt was more important than now to preserve food. And because of this Salzburug was very rich city and had a chance to make a big and strong castel!

A concert in Salzburg

728-concert.jpg728-salzburg.jpgWe moved to Saltzburg from Wien and this time we have a GPS so we didn’t make a detour (^-^)v

Our purpose being in Salzburg is going to a concert! Salzburg is known for the place where Mozarts was born.

And every year from end of July to end of August,  Many fantastic concerts are held. This is one of the biggest music festival in the world. So I’ve wanted to go and listen to the home of classical music for a long time.

In the daytime there are many people with casual clothes to enjoy sightseeing ,in the evening many people who go to a concerts, they dress up and leave for the concert. The atmosphere of the city is completely different!

I booked a piano concert and the pianist is originally from Russia and he’s held many concerts all over the world.

All his playing was Bravo! And can’t explain how much I was impressed. Now I find a interest in classical music.

If I have a chance next time I want to visit again!!
