Today I sat for a German exam. It was very difficult as I expected. In the morning I took the writing, reading, listening part and in the afternoon speaking part with a partner.
My partner was French guy who speaks very good German. I was.. no I am stupid. I asked him how long he’s been in Switzerland. Then he said “About 10 years…” I felt like the exam was over… How I can have a conversation with him and I feel sorry to him. So I said: “It sounds strange but I would like apologize… because my German is low-level so you can’t understand me” What a typical Japanese! I mean Japanese people often tend to apologize easily. Anyway he replied: “Easy easy… nothing is difficult!” I muttered to myself: “Yes!! For you too easy…”
During the speaking exam I felt like it took 10 times longer than actual time. It was obvious that there was great difference between us and examiners realized it immediately. They started to ask rather difficult questions to me. I have no idea how I answered but I clearly remember that I made lots of gramatical mistakes.
I’m pretty sure that I failed this exam but it’s over and I can’t change. So I’ll challenge it next year again.
Now I carried out my goals in 2009!! I’m satisfied with things as I did.
Just 2 weeks more then the new year 2010 is coming. I’m looking forward to writing plans in my new favorite agenda.
This agenda contains dictionary & daily phrases in 6 languages, general information on major countries, world currencies, weight and measures, monthly average temperatures in many countries. Subway maps from the world big cities, world time chart and so on. I can strongly recommend this agenda to someone who often travels or someone who likes to get world knowledge while you have nothing to do. For example when you wait for the train.
By the way this agenda is made (printed) in Japan! I’ve been a user of this agenda for 2 years and I thought I couldn’t find it but luckily I found it in Zurich (^o^)V
