Today (Februrary 22nd) is “cat” day in Japan!!!! Do you know why? I’m sure you don’t understand or you think it’s absolutuly stupid.

Well, in Japan the sound of cats is “Nyan nyan nyan” . February in Japanese is “Nigatu and 22nd is Nijyu-ni.

That’s why today is “Cat day”.

Ok, maybe some people want to ask “Is there also “dog day” in a year?”

Yes!! Don’t worry we are not mean and like to be equal. Can you guess when it is?

The sound of dogs is “One one one”. So January 11th is “Dog day”.

Are there cat and dog’s days in your country??

Zzz… Sleeping is one of the best thing … Zzz…

Mommy cat: “Have you set the alarm clock?”

Kittens: “No… it’s unnecessary!”

Mommy cat: “What date is it today?”

Kittens: ” We don’t know! It’s not important! We are cats, mommy!”

Mommy cat: “Aha!”

When we were walking down the street, we found a crowd of people who were looking at the pole…

Umm… “I can see something black on the pole”. We went closer then realized!!!

It was a cat which couldn’t go down to the ground itself. The cat tried to go down many times but because of scare it stopped. The people around encouraged the cat! Everybody said “Come down! You can do it. Just jump!”…

We wanted to help the cat but there was no ladder or something like that. So just what we could do was encouraging.

I have no idea how long we stayed there. But I’m sure more than 30 min. We thought that everytime when the cat tried to go down, it was distracted by the people. The cat had to concentrate on it completely.

So it was little bit hard to leave there but we left…

On the way to our hotel (I think about 6 hours later) we checked if the cat was still there.

It wasn’t!!! Phew… I was really relieved.

After the amazing night view we went back to the city. On the way to the city from the hill, we had to go down the many stairs. Along the stairs there were some restaurants, cloth shop and so on.

There was a shoes shop and by the window, I found a cat! At first I thought it was an ornament because the cat didn’t move at all. But we looked at it thoroughly. Then it moved little bit!!

Wow! The cat is working as a guard!

After the Parthenon we went to another ruin. And there we found the place to sit down and watched the sunset. It looked like the sun goes into the ruin. It was a special moment.

I think only I feel something mixed generation in Greece. People use mobiles and digital cameras at the ancient ruins. I wonder how the ancients imagine the future? Did they ecpect that the world would be like now?

p.s  Even at the ancient ruin I found cats! They must be protecting the ruins!?
