My new life in Switzerland

As I wrote last December in my homepage, I took a German exam which is called First Certificate. The exam was quite difficult especially a speaking part so after the exam I thought I failed it.
2 months later I got the result and surprisingly I passed it with high score!! Fisrt I couldn’t believe it so I checked the name if it was really mine
! Last Nobember and December were very hard time for me because of my body condition and it was very hard to concentrate on studying but I roused myself to study hard.
Now I’m happy that my efforts were fully rewarded!

As a Valentine present Stefan gave me a cute card, a bunch of tulips and Laduree Macaron!
Japanese Valentine’s day is different from European style. In Japan Feb. 14th women give chocolate to their lovers. ( Often give something additional such as wallet, tie and so on). And one month later Mar. 14th the men give something to the women as a return gift. Of course it depends on how thick their wallets are!
I always think Japanese people really love events. Compared with the events in Switzerland, Japan has much more… I think this is one of reasons why I miss Japan.
Ok, I’ll pick up some of them… (I don’t write about public holidays, Japanese public holidays are also crazy!)

Finally I went to “Laduree” in Paris. I know in Tokyo there are Laduree but I’ve never been to there so I had wanted to go there for a long time.
When I went to there in the afternoon, I couldn’t enter the shop. Too many people and some people ( actually quite a lots of people) had to wait outside.
So on Saturday Stefan and I got up at 7 a.m and went to there to have a breakfast. Because of early time, we didn’t need to wait and we could have breakfast on 1st floor. ( American English is 2nd floor, in Japan we tend to use American English…)
I felt a long history of “Laduree” from the silverware, interior decoration and so on. I was also amazed at the menu book. Even menu book, it was sooooooo cute!!!!!! We had a graceful time there.
I found out next to the Laduree on Champs Elysees, there is a “La duree bar”. Next time I want to visist there with my darling!

I have been to many countries and each country I really enjoyed very much, but I can say “Paris” is one of the valuable cities of walking without any purpose. Even thought shops are closed, it doesn’t matter!
Just walk and turn whenever you want to. And when you are tired, you can stop by a cafe. Since there are many cafes.
One thing is a bit pity. When I was in Paris first time, there weren’t any Starbucks Coffee. (I think it’s 8 years ago) But now, not every corner but quite a lot, you can find Starbacks in Paris. This is my own opinion… Paris is the city where Starbacks doesn’t match. What do you think? I’m not saying that I’m anti-Starbucks. Generally I like Starbucks!!
By the way, in Athens, Vienna and Salzburg, I didn’t see any Starbucks…
