Sweet Valentine’s day

214card_small.jpg214_small.jpgAs a Valentine present Stefan gave me a cute card, a bunch of tulips and Laduree Macaron!

Japanese Valentine’s day is different from European style. In Japan Feb. 14th women give chocolate to their lovers. ( Often give something additional such as wallet, tie and so on). And one month later Mar. 14th the men give something to the women as a return gift. Of course it depends on how thick their wallets are!

I always think Japanese people really love events. Compared with the events in Switzerland, Japan has much more… I think this is one of reasons why I miss Japan.

Ok, I’ll pick up some of them… (I don’t write about public holidays, Japanese public holidays are also crazy!)

Easy Valentine’s Dinner

valentines-dinner_small.jpgvalentines-dinner-2_small.jpgI cooked easy Valentine’s dinner I was going to cook a big dinner but after drawing pictures on the cookies, I was so tired and…so I cooked easy Valentine’s dinner. Sorry…Stefan.

I cooked Stefan’s favorite Japanese potato salad, uncured ham, salmon mini toast, and cream stew and so on…

But I ‘m happy he always eats up my dinner and never complains about my food! He must have been disciplined very well by his parents!

Phew…

cookie-2_small_0.jpgI baked cookies for Stefan on Valentine’s day. This time I had a great motivation to do somethig tiny, so I decided to draw pictures on the cookies.

It was a big fun to do it. Using a toothpick and draw picures little by little!!

What should I cook next time…

Floral Heart

rose-arrange_small.jpgrose-arrange2_small.jpgI found a cute flower arrangement in a flower shop in Paris. The arrangement was made of many pink roses.

Soo lovely. French arrangements are Japanese people’s taste. Most of them are arranged with so many flowers and less green.

For example England and Netherland’s styles are based on more green.

(when I studied about flower arrangement in Netherland, my flower teacher said-Japanese people tend to prefer full of flower arrangements to more green arrangements)

Just visiting flower shops, you will know what kind of flower arrangement the people in the country like!

P.S  Sorry I didn’t up date my blog for 2 weeks. The adapter of my computer was broken and I couldn’t use my PC…

La duree Macaron

macaron-box_small.jpgmacarons_small.jpgAfter having  fine breakfast, Stefan bought me “macarons” for me. Not only Macarons but also other sweets were amazing. All sweets were full of novelty ideas but the sweets were still elegant. I felt like I was in an art museum! When you buy Macarons, you can choose a box from many choices. Every box is sooo cute. It’s quite difficult to choose one!!

Now I understand why so many people have attracted by Laduree.  I’m a fan of Laduree (^o^).

When you plan to go to Laduree in Paris, every shop is always crowded and sometimes you have to wait loooooooooong time. So I advise you to go there in early morning!!!
